We have just 4 days until Valentine’s Day now. Have you made your plans? If your plans are to have a cozy meal at home, then this Romantic Table for Two will help you to set the scene and make things extra special.
This is a very simple table setting. Perfect for Valentine’s with the red and white, and the black added in just makes everything stand out.
I used a bright white tablecloth as my starting point giving me a great blank canvas.
For the placemats I went with these slate ones from Wilko, I used chalk to write cute messages! Wilkos also have these amazing heart shaped slate placemats.
My white plates came from Wilkos too. The champagne flutes are from Tescos a good 8 years ago now! I couldn’t find any similar but I love these ones and here is some similar cutlery. I love layering felt placemats (here are the ones I used) between plates to add depth and interest to a table. It’s a cheaper way to add some colour without buying new plates.
I love, love, love these heart shaped side plates I picked up from Home Bargains for only £1.29 each! I’m not able to find them online but you can get similar here.
I used a black napkin on the left to balance out the offset slate placemat on the right.
The table was finished of with a simple vase (this was a pound from poundland!) filled with red carnations (which didn’t cooperate by opening up more lol). Little heart sequins from Home Bargains were sprinkled around and this wax melt, also Home Bargains, makes the room smell lovely. The large hearts are what I had leftover from making my valentine’s pom pom garland.
The only thing left to do is add some candlelight and it’s all set for a romantic table for two. Are you staying in this Valentine’s? I hope you have a fab day no matter your plans! Don’t forget to leave me your comments. 🙂

Ha ha, my husband would not have set this table up for me either, not because he isn’t thoughtful, I just think men find all the frills pointless lol
